President Trump’s tolerance has finally come to an end.
It appears that he is fed up and taking things into his own hands. According to Fox News, President Trump is taking executive action on healthcare.
He plans to sign the executive order Thursday, striving to offer “alternatives” to the Obamacare, but also bring down the cost of premiums.
“The time has come to give Americans the freedom to purchase health insurance across state lines, which will create a truly competitive national marketplace that will bring costs way down and provide far better care,” President Trump stated, According to Christian News Alert.
This means that he will direct the Secretary of Labor expanding the access to Association Health Plans, which is going to allow employers to form groups helping the negotiations for more competitive plans.
President Trump stated: “They will be able to buy and cross state lines. They will get great competitive health care and it will cost the United States nothing. Take care of a big percentage of the people we are talking about,”
Many employers are hoping to find this helpful. According to The New York Times, the president of the National Association of Wholesaler-Distributors Dirk van Dongen, stated that Trump’s decision is going to be great for these companies. “Small to midsize businesses have very little leverage in the insurance market. Anything that allows them to amalgamate their purchasing power will be helpful”.
Trump’s administration said that they are going to give the option to consumers of the insurance, to buy less expensive coverage which will be the alternative to conventional plans. Something that the US Chamber of Commerce regarded to, saying “serve an important purpose for consumers” who are in-between jobs.
This is comming after GOP has failed to reform Obamacare. Rand Paul predicted this back in July, that this is going to be neccessary for President Trump. When they both spoke, President Trump was considering this executive order as Congress did not take any action, according to Breitbart.
Trump tweeted: “Since Congress can’t get its act together on HealthCare, I will be using the power of the pen to give great HealthCare to many people – FAST,”
Paul has also stated that he and the President were working on this executive order for months. We can say that our President had some motivation from Paul for this idea.
It was the for the President to take action regarding Obamacare. This promises to be much better plan for Americans.
