NFL Sponsor Ford Just Made a Statement on National Anthem Protest!

Lately, the National Football League has unfortunately become a place where NFL players are continuously joining together in some form of protest against President Trump and our American values.

What’s even more dissapointing about the whole situation is the fact that these NFL players are actually proud of their poor actions, and even have the nerve to seek support from the American people. Support for what? For turning your back on your own country? I don’t think so.

Now, Ford Motors Co., who is a long-time sponsor of the NFL, stated that they fully support the NFL player’s free speech and their decision to protest against our national anthem.

“We respect individuals’ rights to express their views, even if they are not ones we share,” Ford explained in an emailed statement, reported Bloomberg. “That’s part of what makes America great.”

I respect the rights of all American Citizens to exercise their right to free speech… but this is a conflict with the need for discipline and the following of rules. They are both the rules of the NFL and an unwritten as well a rule of our culture which requires all to stand at attention during the playing of the National Anthem to also show respect for our men and women in service to our country…

I will no longer buy a Ford motor automobile if you are going to support the miss use of the 1 st amendment!! Just because you can do something doesn’t make it right . My wife and I thought for sure the Ford family would never tolerate this type of behavior!! I guess we were wrong !!! Disrespecting the flag and the national anthem has not stop anything!! Still everyday black on black crime shootings and looting burning cities down and now the Ford family justifying the disrespect of our flag and hiding behind the first amendment is cowardly!! What is happening to our nation of Christian values and respect for our military you should be ashamed to take part in such disgrace to our country and military I will no longer support Ford or the lions

Pathetic attempt to placate these spoiled rotten misguided millionaires with the hope of selling their products. Disappointing, but not surprising. Guess they forgot to do the math! When you are in this country of United States respect our flag. When you visit another country don’t you respect their flag since you are in their country? That’s all we ask of you who are living in this country to repect our flag. As the same old saying goes if you can’t repect our flag then you shouldn’t be living in this country. Go back to where you came from. It is so sad to see grown up men to NOT respect our flag and what does this teach our younger children when they are watching this on TV? We are going to have more generations not respecting our flag. I don’t hear any other country facing the same problems as United States is and why is that? I grew up in a generations when you respect your elders, respect the American flag because so many men and women have die for that flag. The bottom line I will boycott FORD, for they do not repsect the American flag or our military men and women who die for this country.

So, does this mean Ford would allow their employees to spout their political views or their views on religion or sex for that matter to their customers? Would they allow their customers to be insulted by their employees. Free speech doesn’t apply when in the work force. Companies have a right to not have their employees disrespect other employees or their customers by foisting their political agendas on others. Most companies have policies on this. NFL players are employees. This is not about “free speech”. These young men’s display of disrespect doesn’t change anything that they are protesting about. There are better ways to affect the change they would like to see happen Fans go to games to escape and be entertained. The last thing they want is to have a display of political activism. Time for Goodell, owners and coaches to become the adults in the room and stop using their players as pawns in a political game.

Well well well….these companies better watch what they say….sponsors pulling ads from O’Reilly, Hannity and others…just who the f–k do you think you are? A company that got huge and rich because Americans bought your products. Well, my notebook of whom to boycott is getting full…guess I better get a second one as this bullshit is just going to keep going until there is a full blown revolution. I stopped watching sports years ago when they started rigging the games and paying these guys salaries that are just over the top. All you who are protesting…do you even know what your protesting??? If it is Trump, then you have got it all wrong to do it the way you are. There is absolutely zero reasons for disrespecting the nation’s flag and anthem. If your bitch is with Trump, then get your million dollar asses to Washington and take a knee in front of the White House, don’t screw up the enjoyment of sports , all your doing is hurting the very fans that make it possible for you to be paid such sums. You will soon find out that the silent majority may not stay silent much longer. Instead of partying at your mansions and your yachts on your time off, let us see if you are willing to actually put your money where your mouth is…get out and DO something to show you care. This so called protesting is a bunch of horseshit….ya all just want the attention. Celebrities and sports celebrities somehow think we all worship you….NOT…and for sure NOT after the stunts you all are pulling. I hope the military does not decide to PROTEST on the day Iran or N Korea decides to shove a nuke up your asses, you will change your tune then. Shame, Disrespect , that is all you idiots know how to act. As far as your sponsors…they better watch what they say as we are the consumers and we can opt to NOT buy their products. Ford Motor Company’s , we stand by the protest shit will come back to hit them where it hurts, mark my words. You liberal idiots have been putting the boot on our necks for a long long time and because we have standards and ethics, we have turned the cheek for years. Well, surprise, surprise, I do believe I see the last straw coming up fast, and when we unleash our righteous indignation and anger , it will not be pretty.

I don’t understand how a large company can pander to a bunch of whiny ghetto boys and abandon their customer base who are the bread and butter of their company. I guess they have yet seen what people power can do for a company. These ordinary mums, dads, and their grown children can and will make or break you.The whiny ghetto boys will go back to their entitled lives and quickly forget about their treasonous little dummy spit and you but the ordinary man and woman in the street will not forget what you have done against their values and the values of their country. You choose to disrespect every man and woman who went to foreign shores to fight for your freedom. How dare you? I guess this is the beginning of the end for your company and you deserve it. R.I.P. What a shame that all these stupid ass people live in such a great country, they seem to stupid to realize that the flag has oppressed no one, their argument over it being people’s choice to protest against it is flawed so badly, it’s a slap in the face to every man and women, everyone civilian life lost because of war, if you think our flag has oppressed you get on a plane train or bus and leave, and all the overpaid NFL players well Fuck you not one more penny not one more minute of time will come from our family, and now a choice of where the new car we are about to buy becomes a little easier no ford products in this home.

It is not the right of these NFL EMPLOYEES! If their employer wants them to stop kneeling, it is the employer’s right to demand it. Remember when a player wanted to honor cops?? When a player wanted to remember 9/11? Their employer said NO. They are all cowards and WE THE PEOPLE will not stand for disrespecting our flag and our country!!

  35. Linda

    September 26, 2017 at 11:33 am

We have been on the fence, between buying a new Ford…or a Nissan Truck. Ford, just made up our minds ! No more Fords for this family, and will be selling our Explorer. Yes, these people have the right to protest…BUT, only on their own time !!! The Rules of the NFL clearly state, that they are to stand in RESPECT to the Flag, and this country. Sadly, the NFL should have punished Kapernick in the first place. Then they would have set a precedent. Apparently, since the Clintons and all of the rest of the SWAMP KEEPERS have (so far) gotten by with all of their corruption….these people think they can get by with disrespect also ! This is a very sad time in America !!! So Long Ford..

I’ve bought Ford vehicles since the ’60s, but they aren’t loyal to our country so I’ll no longer be loyal to them. As a veteran and proudly served my country I will not participate in using or buying their products in the future. My father fought in WWII,Korea, and Vietnam, my brother served in the military for 24 years, we are a patriotic family that respects our country and its President. If the players of the NFL want to do something about race relations, maybe they should tell the black community to get educated, stop having babies while they are still babies, stop looting and stealing and work for what they want instead of asking government to give it to them.

  39. Janet Schultz

    September 26, 2017 at 12:31 pm

You will not disrespect the flag or the President. The men and women who fought and died deserve our most honored acknowledgement over and above our selfish agendas. The issues these “protestors” claim are discussed and protested on ground our military and President protect with their lives. The flag is our unity.

Ford has taken a serious misstep of complacency. Correction is demanded.

I have not bought a ford product since the late 70’s because of the way I was treated by Ford while I was in Uniform. They have always been a bunch of Lying cheating SOB’s in my book. My only dislike is that it has taken this long to be justified in my 40 year opinion of that Un-American Co. And just so you know, it was not a specific Dealership, It was Ford Motor Co. head quarters in Detroit that wouldn’t stand by their product. So, as you all can now see, Ford has a long standing dislike of the American Military and this countries values that we stand for. Yay Ford, you finally vindicated me on the National stage.

I have bought new Fords every few years until now, I agree with free speech and the right to protest. IN the stadium in front of the cameras and DURING our National Anthem is NOT acceptable, There are just WAY too many other places and ways to protest. My oldest son has been trying to get me to buy Chevy for years now. I always refused and my husband and I traded in our two Fords for new Fords every few years. My oldest son wins!! You could not PAY me to buy another Ford now!! Good luck, Ford Motor Company. Be prepared for a HUGE drop in business. I am SURE that not just my husband and I who are close to trading in our 5 year old Fords are not the only people that feel this way. I come from a military family. I had to sign papers for my youngest son to leave as soon as he graduated. He is putting his life on the line along with his wife for that flag and that song. PURE DISRESPECT!! Goodbye NFL, GOODBYE FORD!! You will both SOON be playing to an empty field and and empty lot of customers! I will repost this for everyone to see!! BAD MOVE, FORD!

I can not protest or speak politically at my place of work and neither should these people! Ford just made a bad mistake. This isn’t supporting someone’s freedom of speech…the NFL wouldn’t let the NY Giants wear memorials on their jerseys after 9/11, and they refused the Dallas Cowboys for wearing the name of the police officers who were killed during the Dallas riots. So, why are they allowing these guys to disrespect the flag and this country. You can’t have it both ways. Boycott Ford.

Wow Ford how soon do you forget when you couldn’t keep you people employed. Hope they are ready for a big lay off. You are messing with the wrong people. No one in their right mind would side with the NFL to be disrespectful to our Country as they did in London. It is your choice but it will be the choice of the American people if they want to buy your products. Like they say FORD stands for Fix Or Repair Daily. Sorry Ford you are history.

I have the first Expedition model that Ford ever produced (1997). It has proudly worn a magnetic American flag since the day following 9-11-2001. It has been and still is a top notch vehicle, driving as good as when new, and with few repairs, but I will never buy another Ford! I will have to drive it a little longer but will say goodbye to it as son as I can.
