Biden – Just Like Trump – Told Americans Not To ‘Panic’ About COVID At Beginning Of Pandemic

On Wednesday, 2020 Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden blasted President Donald Trump for downplaying the threat of COVID-19 in February to discourage panic, but in fact Biden told Americans the same thing.

Fox News’ Sean Hannity aired footage Wednesday night of Biden speaking to supporters in Sumter, South Carolina, on February 28, the day before Biden won the state’s primary.

Biden in February: ‘It’s not a time to panic about coronavirus’

“Barack [Obama] and I, when we were — as president and vice president – we took on the virus that was threatening all of Africa and, uh, the rest of the world,” Biden said, forgetting the name of the Ebola virus. “And we set up a mechanism that worked.”

“But I want to take a moment to say it’s not a time to panic about coronavirus, but coronavirus is a serious public health challenge,” Biden added.

Biden said not to “panic” about COVID-19 during a March 12 speech, just one day after the World Health Organization categorized the coronavirus outbreak as a “pandemic.”

Biden’s Glaring Hypocrisy

Biden also warned that we should not “downplay” the virus, similar to what Trump said to journalist Bob Woodward, because he did not want to cause any panic.

Before late February, most Democratic presidential primary candidates had mostly ignored coronavirus.

When President Trump did do something to address the pandemic by issuing a travel ban on China, Biden called the president’s actions “hysterical xenophobia.”

Egg On Democrats’ Faces

So basically Biden asked Americans not to panic over the coronavirus pandemic about the same time President Trump admitted to Bob Woodward that he was being careful not to incite fear among the American public.

Now Joe Biden, the Democrats and their media allies believe President Trump not scaring people at the beginning of the COVID-19 crisis amounts to some sort of dereliction of duty, even though the 2020 Dem presidential nominee did the same thing.

And Democrats wonder why more and more Americans refuse to take them seriously.
