Alan Dershowitz Says Trump Still Has ‘Two or Three Constitutional Paths’ To A 2020 Victory – But He Hasn’t Seen The Evidence To Overturn

What’s Happening:

Alan Dershowitz is a respected law professor who is well-known for his famous defense of Trump during the impeachment.

Even though he is known as a liberal, Dershowitz went to bat for the president, shocked at what the House tried to do.

Now, he’s weighing in on the ongoing battles over the 2020 election results. It seems the lawyer is more hopeful than the media:

During this week’s broadcast of FNC’s “Sunday Morning Futures,” constitutional legal scholar and Harvard Law professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz said there was still a legal path forward for the Trump campaign to win the presidency.

“The other legal theory they had, which is a potentially strong one, is that the computers, either fraudulently or by glitches, changed hundreds of thousands of votes. There are enough votes to make a difference, but I haven’t seen the evidence to support that.

“So, in one case, they don’t have the numbers. In another case, they don’t seem yet to have the evidence. Maybe they do. I haven’t seen it. But the legal theory is there to support them if they have the numbers and they have the evidence.”

Dershowitz explained that there are several legal and Constitutional ways Trump can protect the integrity of our elections and win the presidency.

He explained his objective view of the issues, saying they have strong legal arguments about the counting of ballots after Election Day.

He even said that’s a “winning issue” in the Supreme Court.

The lawyer also talked about how some states “cured” flawed ballots and how that case brought before the SCOTUS can cause thousands of votes to be thrown out. He also talked about how software errors could have interfered with hundreds of thousands of votes.

It seems Dershowitz is bullish on one path to victory through the Supreme Court, that of Pennsylvania counting ballots after Election Day.

But in two other cases, he’s not convinced. That’s because he admits he hasn’t seen the evidence Trump’s legal team has mentioned because he is not on the team.

Trump’s team held a press conference last week explaining that the bulk of their evidence will be revealed in court—not in the media.

Surprisingly, they don’t want media outlets to get a chance to undermine legitimate evidence that can jeopardize a legal battle.

Do you think Trump still has a chance to beat Biden for 2020?

Key Takeaways:

  • Legal scholar and professor Alan Dershowitz laid out several paths to victory for Trump.
  • He argued that it would take intervention from the Supreme Court, but they are winning issues.
  • Dershowitz admitted he has not seen the evidence, as he is not on Trump’s legal team.
